Edible Finger Paint Recipes for Kids

Finger painting paint is simple to make. With just a few ingredients and some food coloring you can make non toxic edible finger paints safe for any toddler. Here are two basic recipes.

Edible Finger Paint Recipes for Kids Finger painting recipe without cornstarch

Ingredients

2 cups flour
2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups cold water
2 cups hot water
Food coloring

Mix the flour and salt. Add the cold water while stirring. Beat until the mixture is very smooth. Gradually add hot water while mixing. Make sure you get all the lumps out. Divide the mixture into different jars. Add different food coloring colors to the jars. Mix well.

Recipe for finger painting with cornstarch

Ingredients

4 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 cup of cornflour
3 cups cold water
Food coloring

Mix the sugar and cornflour together. Add water slowly while stirring. Keep over low to medium heat until the mixture thickens. Set aside to cool. The mixture will thicken a little more. Divide the mixture into four separate jars, add the food coloring and mix again.
